This is Evie. She is a precious and happy little girl. One moment her parents (my dear friends Jennifer and Chris) are just going along with everyday life and then the next they are hit with the kind of news that always seems impossible to even imagine. Words and phrases like: MRI, meeting with team of neurologists, brain tumor, surgery asap, and more suddenly come out of nowhere to shock and stun them. Evie came through the surgery on Monday like a champion. Kids are so amazing that way, especially Evie. This was wonderful news and a great comfort to her parents. Of course, the fact that the tumor was malignant was not. After her surgery recovery, she will be undergoing a six-month treatment of chemotherapy. I know how easy it is to get absorbed and consumed with our own life stresses, but I am asking that you take a moment to pray for her recovery. It is the most significant thing you can do for another human being. Thank you for taking time to go to God for Evie. I know this will mean the world to her parents.
